Practical information
What delegates arrange before travelling to Georgetown for 19 to 21 October 2026.
Getting there
Cheddi Jagan International Airport is about an hour from the city centre. Connections from Canada usually route through Toronto, New York or Trinidad. Seat availability tightens quickly, so book early. We recommend arriving on 18 October so you are in the city the night before the forum opens.
Entry requirements
Confirm current entry requirements with Guyanese authorities before booking, as they change. Carry a passport valid at least six months beyond your travel dates. We can issue a letter of invitation for entry or corporate travel approval on request.
Where to stay
The forum is at the Pegasus Hotel, and staying at or near the venue makes the opening day considerably easier. Georgetown has limited business hotel stock and October is busy, so book as soon as your place is confirmed.
On the ground
- Currency is the Guyanese dollar. Major hotels take cards, smaller vendors often do not.
- Arrange ground transport through your hotel rather than hailing on the street.
- Business dress for the forum. The evening reception is business or smart.
- Mobile data is patchy outside the city. Download what you need in advance.
- Bring more printed material and business cards than you think you need.
